Dear Supporters,
For the past 16 years, surgeons and physicians from South Texas have volunteered in underserved communities around the world through Heal International Medical Mission (HIMM).
Whether performing life-changing surgeries in HIMM-sponsored clinics or restoring sight through specialized care, HIMM physicians compassionately use their medical expertise to make a lasting impact in communities worldwide.
HIMM is a focused ministry that depends on highly skilled professionals who are willing to serve on the front lines in challenging environments by providing surgical and medical services. We continually seek physicians and healthcare professionals from various specialties to participate in our missions through volunteering with HIMM or by supporting others through financial contributions.
HIMM is currently hosting its annual fundraising campaign to continue the mission of the organization and support ongoing operational expenses.
This year, HIMM has scheduled surgical medical missions to regions with critical healthcare needs Santiago Panama, Uspantan Guatemala, Laguna de San Pedro, Colombia, Cutervo Peru, and Cameroon. These missions will include surgeons, gynecologists, physicians, dentists, and other healthcare specialists. HIMM will also rely on a dedicated team of nurses, operating technicians, and volunteers to serve alongside them. Many of these volunteers will be taking time away from work and will need financial assistance to help cover flights, lodging, medical supplies, and meals.
The estimated cost per volunteer ranges from $2,000 to $2,500.
