RioHacha, (Guajira) Colombia
HIMM started serving the region of La Guajira Riohacha Colombia in 2015. This region is the Caribbean Region it is considered to be the the northernmost tip of South America. The capital is RioHacha. Various indigenous tribes live among this region. One of the most common indigenous tribes is the Wayuu. HIMMs first medical missions to this area was inspired by Dr. Enrique Griego. Dr. Griego being from this region always had a heart to go back and provide medical care for his people. HIMM initiated its first ever mission trip with a group of surgical medical doctors and volunteers to this region and on its first mission HIMM provided medical care for nearly 600. HIMM has now added Riohacha (Guajira) Colombia to its list of medical missions on a yearly basis. We invite all medical surgical and volunteers to join sign up to be a part of this medical missions with HIMM in Colombia.
