Quiche, Guatemala

We are blessed to have a trusted relationship with AGAPE in Love that allows us to be apart of another international community forging a local long-term relationships necessary to effectively utilize the medical and discipleship resources entrusted to HIMM.For the past three years HIMM has been honored to partner with AGAPE in Action to serve the community surrounding the city of Quiche, in north eastern Guatemala. This year we are blessed to be invited by AGAPE to partner with them again to serve this community of wonderfully grateful and special people. Currently we are gathering interest for this 2012 Queche mission, and trust the response will establish the “specialty” of services we will be focusing on.  Once the specialty is defined, our medical partners in Quiche will begin to establish a list patients based upon the scope of specialty provided.Through the partnership with AGAPE, the teams are graciously provided and cared for. The trip will be hosted by Jessica Edquist, (Chief Executive Officer of AGAPE) and Dr. and Mrs. Street (founders of AGAPE). We have the opportunity to provide surgical services in the community hospital, which has four operating rooms partially equipped. Preoperative and postoperative care is the result of a partnership between our team and the local medical personnel. The housing facility is extremely comfortable and the food is prepared by the Street’s and there local friends. You will find yourself being served, when in fact you came to serve.
