As HIMM’s first mission partner, we are blessed to have an trusted relationship with a local church lead by Pastor Eddie. This partnership is truly allowing us to be apart of an international community as we discover that local long-term relationships are necessary to effectively utilize the medical and discipleship resources entrusted to HIMM.
Over the past ten years, numerous medical mission trips have been organized by H.I.M.M. to various parts of Haiti and the Dominican Republic. H.I.M.M. is presently responding to the call to serve in the city of Ouanaminthe, located in the Northeastern region of the island of Haiti. Within the city of Ouanaminthe H.I.M.M. has a blessed partnership with a community and its church, often referenced as “Pastor Eddie’s ministry.”In the month of April 2012, a team of fifteen medical professionals will provide general surgical services to the community of Ouanaminthe through a partnership with Pastor Eddie’s ministry and the local community hospital. The team will depart the U.S on Sunday April 15th and return on April 21st. The team will be lead by Dr. Thomas Long, a general surgeon from the Dallas Fort Worth area. The team is comprised of two fully staffed surgical teams complimented by pre & post operative, operational, and spiritual support.
